And The Oscars Go To!

We are going to see Gran Torino tonight. I can't wait! Written by Minnesota native Nick Schenk and one of the 17 year old actors Thao (Bee Vang) is from Robbinsdale-Armstrong High School with no stage experience. Bee won the part at a May casting call at a Hmong community center. I know the high school well. My brother and sister went to Armstrong so that's kind of cool. I don't like that the movie's original setting was Minneapolis, but shifted to Detroit when Michigan offered Warner Bros. a 42 percent production rebate. But what can you do?
Are any of you going to go see this movie? Let us know what you think.
Have a super Friday!

I need a full review of this puppie. I want to see it for two reasons:
1. Love Dirty Harry
2. My mom had a brown Gran Torino when I was a kid growing up. I wonder if the car is in the movie??

Is the Gran Torino red with a big white swoosh up the side? Wrong movie. And don't be too upset with Michigan stealing your movie, at least it's still in the States. You'd be surprised how many we steal from you.
