Holidazzle

We went to the Holidazzle Parade on Saturday. The big trip to the city....downtown Minneapolis.

Holidazzle is a Minnesota tradition. Downtown Minneapolis glows with festive lights as local businesses put on a stellar show that is the equivalent of a walking fireworks display.

Thank goodness we bought tickets for the heated seats inside a large tent to watch the event because it was minus 5,000 degree's outside. Okay, I made that part up. It was probably 4 degrees outside and it was COLD! Sorry the pictures didn't come out all that great. It's difficult to take pictures in the dark.

Happy Monday!

That beats the hell outta our Christmas parade. I had Sal drive by the house waving a flashlight out the window while I stood on the porch in sweatpants and swigged on a beer.

Don't get me wrong, it was still an exciting parade, but nothing like yours.

We went to the light display by Lake Phalen last night to show our young nephews. I love the lights!

Reminds me of the Xmas stuff they used to do at City Park in New Orleans.

We're going on the 19th followed by dinner at Hell's Kitchen!

We have lived in Minnesota for 5 years and have never been. Your pictures look really neat of the Holidazzle parade. I would need the heated seats too! I could also use some Minnesota sun these gloomy days are getting to me!
