Holidazzle is a Minnesota tradition. Downtown Minneapolis glows with festive lights as local businesses put on a stellar show that is the equivalent of a walking fireworks display.
Thank goodness we bought tickets for the heated seats inside a large tent to watch the event because it was minus 5,000 degree's outside. Okay, I made that part up. It was probably 4 degrees outside and it was COLD! Sorry the pictures didn't come out all that great. It's difficult to take pictures in the dark.

That beats the hell outta our Christmas parade. I had Sal drive by the house waving a flashlight out the window while I stood on the porch in sweatpants and swigged on a beer.
Don't get me wrong, it was still an exciting parade, but nothing like yours.

Looks fun! And cold. Brrr...
We went to the light display by Lake Phalen last night to show our young nephews. I love the lights!
OH!!! Did you go to Daytons (i REFUSE to call it Macy's) and go to the 8th floor??? when I worked there we used to sneak up while the parade was going on because you could walk right in.
Oh BOY do I miss the Holidazzle parade... a BUNCH.... cold but SO worth it!!!
have you ever done the St. Paul WInter Carnival Parade?
Reminds me of the Xmas stuff they used to do at City Park in New Orleans.
it still looks pretty!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Holidazzle parade! In fact, last year was lucky enough to be IN it!!
We're going on the 19th followed by dinner at Hell's Kitchen!
Can't wait! Thanks for the preview!

And i think its fun in the cold! Adds to the holiday feelings!!
It does, i swear!!!
What a great holiday time:-)
We have lived in Minnesota for 5 years and have never been. Your pictures look really neat of the Holidazzle parade. I would need the heated seats too! I could also use some Minnesota sun these gloomy days are getting to me!
