Heading South To Texas

It snowed again yesterday and all the geese felt the snow on their wings. They will be heading South now so please, be nice to them while they visit your part of the country! I would like to see them all come back next Spring!!. Bye Bye my fine feather friends. See you soon! Where's my damn tissue??

Happy Saturday

When my son was about 4, we're outside and we looked up and saw geese flying. They were flying North. My son looked up, and trying to help them, yelled, "YOU'RE GOING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION!" We still talk about it today.

This makes me want to poke someone's butt (on the outside of their clothes, pervs) and yell, "Christmas goose!"

Aren't geese incredibly elegant? I love the way that they carry themselves -- as if they are wearing a crown.

Lovely pictures!

Blessings!

Someone get Gwen a finger condom.

I have to say...our area is infested, er...I mean blessed with multiple flocks of geese.

I don't so much mind when they leave. It's annoying going to the park and hearing the kids scream, "Mom, Abbey's covered in goose poop again."

Those are beautiful, beautiful photos!!! I just love it when the geese fly south. That incredible sound as they fly overhead really touches me.

Don't get me wrong, I totally dig a nice goose... but there is a LOT of poop in my yard and the next time I slip in a poopie little spot, I'll lovingly be thinking of you! :)
