Don't You Miss It?

Don't you miss roller skating? I sure do. I still have my "quads" as they are called today. I prefer to use the correct term ...roller skates. Kids these days!!!

Ah yes, the songs.. The songs were the best part?? Well, maybe the crappy pizza's?

Here's a blast from the past .... songs we skated to:

Barry Manilow "I Write the Songs"
Bay City Rollers "Saturday Nights"
Rick James "Super Freak"
Melanie "Brand New Key"
Vaughan Mason and Crew "Bounce, Rock, Skate, Roll"
ABBA "Dancing Queen"
Le Chic "Freak Out"
Rose Royce "Car Wash"

What were your favorite roller skating songs??

HAPPY TUESDAY!

Pretty much anything from the mid-eighties! I LOVED roller skating. I had black and white speed skates. Yeah, I was cool.

I loved roller skating when I was a kid. I use to be pretty good at it too. When I was in my late 20's I tred to skate again and just about killed myself. I can't imagine what I would do if I tried now. I know one thing, it would be a good laugh! Your song list made me crack up, but it is so true.

OMG!! Thanks for the blast from the past up this blogger's skirt today! I'll be humming those songs ALL FREAKING DAY THANKS!!!

I have a neighbor who has a disco ball hanging on his balcony. It's an eye sore and when I sit on my couch to drink my Sunday morning coffee, if the sun is out, I'm blinded!! GRRR!

If I was fortunate enough to land in an emergency room with Muzak playing over the hospital speakers... you know, whatever was on.
