The Women

The four gals in our family decided to go see a movie Friday night. We chose "The Women". The trailer looked hysterical and a perfect chick flick! Awesome cast too!!!!

PLOT:

The central character is clothing designer Mary Haines (Meg) , who lives in a beautiful country home with her wealthy financier husband and their 11-year-old daughter. Her best friend Sylvie Fowler (Annette) is the Editor of a prominent fashion magazine, a woman who dictates the latest in taste and style for New York City fashionistas. When Mary's husband becomes involved with Crystal Allen (Eva), a perfume salesgirl in Saks Fifth Avenue, her friendship with Sylvie is put to the test. Everyone in their close-knit circle of friends, including the ever-pregnant Edie Cohen (Debra) and author Alex Fisher (Jada) , begins to question their loyalty to each other and their romantic involvements.

Genre: Comedy
Running Time: 1 hrs. 54 min.
MPAA Rating: PG-13
Production Budget: $16 million

TOTAL LIFETIME GROSSES
Domestic: $25,986,000
Worldwide: $25,986,000

Well, I'm glad we could contribute to those rock stomping gross figures of $25 Million because we got to the theatre just as the movie started and this is what we found:

AN EMPTY THEATRE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's my sister, sister-in-law and mom. Not a soul in the place but us. So we didn't feel so bad when we were laughing our asses off at the movie screen. Despite the marginal reviews, we loved loved loved it!!!

HAPPY MONDAY!!

I see tons of movies. Whenever nobody is in the theater, I bring my portable Coleman in and grill dogs.

Oh what a fun gruop and there is NOTHING better than an empty theater - it's like a private screening.
