First Snowmobile Double Backflip

Lands the world's FIRST double backflip on a snowmobile Sunday at the XGames.

Who is Levi LaVallee you ask?

Levi LaVallee is the biggest thing to come out of Minnesota since anyone can remember. Not that he’s big physically: at 5’6”, he’s nowhere near the size of the Paul Bunyan statues that dot his state. It was bound to happen: LaVallee was named the World Snowmobiling Association’s Pro Rising Star in his rookie season, 2002/03. Although his wide-open style can get him into trouble – as when he missed the 2004/05 season after blowing his ACL – it also makes him one of the most exciting athletes in action sports today.

“I come from a small town,” LaVallee says, describing Minnesota’s Longville. “The population is only about 180.” Born in 1982, LaVallee seemed to be in motion almost from day one. He first got to drive a sled at age 7, and he hasn’t stopped since.

Watch the video below to see the first ever double back flip!!!
The flip is at 1.31 sec. so you don't have to watch the entire 5 minute clip!

The cool part of this post is I know met him.
Hey he added me (along with 800 other people) on Facebook so I guess we're friends??
My boyfriends, mothers, brothers, cousins, neighbors aunt .... kidding
Try to follow along.. My boyfriend works with Levi's uncle. I met Levi last year when he raced at Canterbury Park. We got to sit with Levi's mom, dad and the rest of the family so that was really awesome. I never heard of snocross until that day and now I'm hooked! These guys are something else to watch.

That's all I've got today!

Hope you enjoyed the video!

Happy Thursday!

The Art of Tunneling

We were out of town this weekend and came home to this at the end of my street. A snow boulder. There are pro's and con's of living at the end of a street. Pro's...no traffic and a nice large yard. Con's .... Mr. snow plow dumps all the snow there. This snow bank is approximately 10 feet high. Give or take a few feet. I see it's a play haven for the kids. Or adults? I haven't seen anyone use said tunnel, so I don't know who the owner of it is yet. There is a large ski/sliding hill 400 feet at the other end of the street, so I don't know why someone chose this for an entertainment spot. Hell, maybe I'll let "Luna" run in and out of it this weekend.
Either way, it's pretty darn funny!!

Happy Wednesday!

Even old dogs can learn new tricks

Even old dogs can learn new tricks on this TV show
Zak George is a big dog among dog trainers. And he could soon get even bigger, thanks to a TV series that Animal Planet plans to introduce in July.
Tentatively titled "Fetch Me a Beer," it will invite dog owners to propose a trick that George can help them teach their pooch. The show has begun casting calls in Boston and Miami.
George, a 30-year-old Atlantan with a multitalented border collie named Venus, has made numerous TV guest appearances and has a popular YouTube site.
Should be a cool show! Stay Tuned!

My Name is Sandi and I'm a Craftaholic.......

Yes, it's true. I am a craftaholic. I love drinking crafting, and I mean ALL types of crafting. I paint, I scrap, I solder, I stamp, I knit, I crochet, I bead, I sew, I fight fires, fly airplanes and race cars (oh, yeah, I don't do those things anymore), I needle punch........I'm a craft addict, oh yes, and I like to quilt too. If you mention anyone of the above crafts to my husband he starts rolling his eye's and goes into a tirade about I N V E N T O R Y. Yes, I have inventory, but how the heck can I do any or all of this without inventory???? HELLO!!! You have to have inventory..........and lots of it. As a matter of fact, I think I WIN!!! I have the most inventory!!! Here are some of pictures of my "inventory". Take pity on me. At least I don't collect cows..............

There's Beading and Jewelry Making

There's Quilting

There's Soldering

There's Painting

There's the 40 - 2' tall Christmas Tree's

Finally, there's Cross Stitch

That my friends is my story. My name is Sandi and I am a craftaholic!

Jennifer: "Yep, she is a craftaholic. I am part of her Crafta-Al-Anon support group. I've witnessed her high points and her low points. She's fallen off the craft wagon several times so we all need to be supportive! We are here for you Sandi! Now get back to your craft room and CRAFT CRAFT CRAFT!"

The HAT!!

Enough talk about Michelle Obama's Lemongrass dress.

Let's talk about the "HAT". What was Aretha thinking???
The cloche, decorated with a Swarovski crystal encrusted bow, cost $179 and came from Mr Song Millinery in Detroit, where Luke Song has been making hats for 25 years.

This hat is horrible!

Just my opinion!

Here's what some are saying on Facebook:

Sarah is mortified that Aretha and I wore the same hat today. at 11:03am - January 20

Jennifer at 11:58am January 20
You have got to be kidding??? Please tell me your kidding!!!!

Judie at 12:14pm January 20
"Does this bow make my head look fat???"

Tricia at 1:09pm January 20
LOL!!

Shelly at 1:21pm January 20
LOL!

What's your opinion? Did you like the hat?

Have a super Wednesday

Meet a Bratz... My name is "Cloe"

I posted awhile back about Bratz dolls vs Barbie. I love Barbie (who doesn't) and I actually like the Bratz Doll Line. I bought a Bratz doll yesterday for my boyfriends daughter. Here is "Cloe". She's pretty cute. As I took her out of the package I noticed her entire back side is exposed. However, she is wearing underwear and a camisole. I also bought a "Wedding Barbie" on Saturday and once again she didn't have any underwear on. I still don't get that. "Cloe" came with 3 interchangeable outfits. 1 dress, skirt and top, pair of jeans and a top.

There was a lawsuit against the creator of Bratz dolls because Bratz are owned by Mattel and he was making them outside of the company, so they sued them then went as far as making it so they aren't allowed to be made anymore. They are now going to be discontinued as of February 11th.

Hey who knows, maybe "Cloe" will be a collectors item once they come off the shelves permanently. Just like those collectable McDonalds "Beanie Babies. You know the ones. Mine.... I kept in a box and moved them all over the world and never looked at them once. Currently, EBay is selling the whole set for a whopping $ 0.99 - $14.95. I think "Cloe" is destine to be played with until she breaks.

Happy a Wonderful Monday!

Thinking Warm!

I've had it with the cold weather so onto warm weather thoughts. Have you ever been to the British Virgin Islands? I have and I understand why Kenny Chesney practically lives there full time. That's because it's warm and beautiful! Here are some picture's I'd like to share!

Map of the area!
But you can see that it's a map. Was just making a heading!

Tortola Area. "Road Town" is the point of entry for the airplanes.

The Willy T Floating Bar!
(Geraldo Rivera frequently anchors his sailboat in this cove)

The Baths (Virgin Gorda area)
The hundreds of huge boulders and rock formations are worn smooth by rain and sea water and form a maze that leads to Devil's Bay beach. The Baths are a popular anchorage for visiting yachts and also a memorable day trip where you can snorkel in the clear blue water around the boulders or just chill out on the beautiful beaches.

This place brings out the kid in you! It's a place where you can play "pirates" or just be a Tomboy climbing rocks. Fun place to run around!

Happy Friday!

Hey It's Minus 24 and SUNNY!

Well we got it again this morning. I was going to snap another picture of my dash displaying the -24 as I drove in to work today but didn't dare take my hands off the wheel because:

#1. Black ice on the road everywhere. For those of you that don't know what black ice is:

BLACK ICE
Black ice is frozen without many air bubbles trapped inside, making it transparent. This type of ice takes the color of the material it lies on top of, often wet asphalt or a darkened pond. Its difficult-to-detect nature makes it a significant hazard to drivers, pedestrians, and sailors. At low temperatures (below 0°F), black ice can form on roadways when the moisture in automobile exhaust condenses.

Huh? Sailors? I'll be sure to watch out for the sailors on the road.

#2. I could barely see the cars in front of me due to all the exhaust coming from the cars.

I decided to launch my weather.com on my desktop and grab this screen shot for you all to see. It's -24 and Sunny?? Lucky us!

Have a super warm day!

And The Oscars Go To!

We are going to see Gran Torino tonight. I can't wait! Written by Minnesota native Nick Schenk and one of the 17 year old actors Thao (Bee Vang) is from Robbinsdale-Armstrong High School with no stage experience. Bee won the part at a May casting call at a Hmong community center. I know the high school well. My brother and sister went to Armstrong so that's kind of cool. I don't like that the movie's original setting was Minneapolis, but shifted to Detroit when Michigan offered Warner Bros. a 42 percent production rebate. But what can you do?
Are any of you going to go see this movie? Let us know what you think.
Have a super Friday!

Beware of Identity Theft

We got a bill in the mail the other day from a Dr's. office in Sugar Land, TX for almost $1,000.00 and we've NEVER heard of this doctor before. He's not an M.D., but an O.D. I've never heard of someone stealing your identity for medical care. Plusssssssss.......it said they had already filed a claim with my health care insurance company. YIKES!!!!!!
BEWARE OF IDENTITY THEFT!
